B & R Automation manufactures the 6PPT50.101E-16A touch panel within its 6PPT Power Touch Panels series. This operator interface terminal is intended for direct mounting on machines and control enclosures. It connects to a controller network to provide real-time visualization, alarm acknowledgment, and setpoint entry, replacing mechanical switches with a durable glass surface. By combining computing power, display electronics, and field wiring in one compact housing, the panel simplifies installation and supports straightforward setup in discrete manufacturing and process applications.
The unit incorporates a 10.1 in projected-capacitive display that renders graphics at 1280 x 800 pixels. Luminance reaches 500 cd/m², allowing clear viewing under bright shop lighting, and the screen detects multiple simultaneous inputs through PCT multi-touch sensing. The aluminum front maintains an IP65 / IP20 protection rating when properly gasketed, so splashes on the face do not affect the rear electronics. Overall dimensions are 271.5 × 190 × 42.2 mm, and the enclosure weighs 1.3 kg, enabling installation on swing arms or cabinet doors while keeping panel depth minimal.
