Product Description:
The 6PPT50.0702-16B operator interface is a Power Touch Panel from the 6PPT series produced by B&R Automation. The panel combines a 7-inch projected-capacitive display with an integrated control computer, giving machine builders an HMI platform for visualization and command entry in automated lines. Within an enclosure designed for cabinet mounting, it connects directly to field controllers over Ethernet and provides local USB expansion for service devices.
The screen uses an LED backlight that drives a luminance of 500 cd/m², keeping images readable under factory lighting. With a 7.0-inch diagonal, the projected-capacitive surface supports multi-touch gestures so operators can zoom or acknowledge alarms quickly. An ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core processor runs at 800 MHz, and when paired with 1 GB of DDR3 DRAM, it maintains responsive graphics while executing background logic. Recipe files and application data reside in a 512 MB flash device that retains data across power cycles. Two RJ45 connectors provide redundant Ethernet paths for controller and supervisory networks, while a pair of USB 2.0 sockets can host maintenance peripherals such as service laptops or mass-storage keys.
Each Ethernet interface negotiates at 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, enabling high-speed transfer of diagnostic files or OPC UA data without saturating the PLC link. The panel draws its control power from a nominal 24 VDC supply and never exceeds 8.8 W, which simplifies sizing of cabinet power supplies and reduces heat load in sealed enclosures. Visual content is rendered at a native resolution of 800 × 480 pixels, providing a widescreen format that suits common SCADA templates. The display layout leaves room for status bars, navigation keys, and process graphics on the same screen.
