The 6PPT30.101G-20B is a power touch panel manufactured by B&R Automation within the 6PPT Power Touch Panels series. It functions as a human-machine interface, allowing operators to issue commands and monitor processes on industrial equipment through its integrated display and resistive touch surface. In production settings, it provides a local control point for screen-based interaction, alarm acknowledgment, and process visibility without the need for a separate workstation. Computing tasks are handled by an ARM Cortex-A8 processor, which interprets touch input from the analog resistive sensor and refreshes graphics without requiring an external PC.
The panel presents images on a 10.1" TFT that delivers a native resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, allowing alarms, trends, and status screens to appear clearly on the display. This screen format also leaves room for navigation elements and process values on the same page, which supports direct interaction during routine operation. Backlighting reaches 500 cd/m², providing legibility beneath factory lighting, and a half-brightness lifetime of 50,000 h indicates when luminance will fall to 250 cd/m² under continuous use. Application files reside in 512 MB of flash memory for nonvolatile storage.
