Product Description:
The 6PPT30.0702-20W human-machine interface is produced by B&R Automation and belongs to the 6PPT Power Touch Panels series. This panel combines an embedded controller with a resistive touch surface to let operators issue commands, acknowledge alarms, and view process data directly at the machine. Its compact form factor makes it suitable for mounting on enclosures or swing arms, providing centralized visualization without an external computer. The integrated design also reduces the amount of separate hardware needed at a local operator station.
The front face houses a TFT color display with a diagonal of 7.0" that presents graphics at 800 × 480 pixels. A luminance of 500 cd/m² keeps the screen readable under bright shop lighting. The panel runs on an ARM Cortex-A8 processor supported by 256 MB of DRAM for runtime variables. Applications and operating system files reside in 512 MB of flash memory, which helps the panel start quickly and store local project data. Network connectivity is provided through 2 × 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet ports for controller, SCADA, or remote access links, while two USB 2.0 sockets accept service sticks or peripheral input devices. The analog resistive touch layer registers finger or stylus input even when the user is wearing gloves.
The electronics are powered from a nominal 24 VDC supply, drawing up to 9.34 W or 389 mA at maximum load, so the panel can share low-voltage control power already present in most cabinets. A molded front bezel rated IP65 blocks dust and water jets, whereas the rear meets IP20 because it sits inside the enclosure. Overall dimensions are 197 mm × 140 mm × 47.8 mm, and the unit weighs 0.6 kg, which simplifies installation on light-duty mounting arms. Passive convection cooling eliminates fans, and the USB ports remain accessible for routine service tasks without opening the cabinet.
