The 6PPT30.0573-20F006 operator terminal is produced by B&R Automation and belongs to the 6PPT Power Touch Panels series. It functions as a human-machine interface for machinery, supplying visual feedback and receiving commands so that PLCs, drives, and safety systems can be adjusted from a single front panel. Used on production lines, packaging stations, and material-handling cells, the device integrates computing hardware, networking, and a touch-enabled display into one compact housing. The integrated format reduces the need for separate display hardware and shortens wiring between the operator station, controller cabinet, and machine network.
Its 5.7 in TFT color screen renders process graphics at 640 x 480 pixel resolution, allowing standard VGA layouts to be viewed without scaling artifacts. An LED backlight delivers 400 cd/m² of luminance, and the 850:1 contrast ratio maintains legibility when ambient light fluctuates. Operator input is captured through an analog resistive touch layer that tolerates protective gloves and remains usable around accidental drops of oil or water. An ARM Cortex-A8 processor works with 256 MB of DRAM to update the user interface while simultaneously handling fieldbus traffic. Two Ethernet ports operate at 10/100 Mbit/s for plant-wide networking, and two USB 2.0 ports support program loading or data logging to removable media.
The computing core runs at 600 MHz, which keeps screen refresh, recipe handling, and protocol conversion within real-time limits without active cooling. A flash array rated at 512 MB stores the operating system, HMI project, and alarm history so power interruptions do not corrupt data. Electrical integration is straightforward because the panel accepts a 24 VDC nominal supply and draws no more than 7.66 W, letting it share the same low-voltage rail as sensors and relays. This arrangement supports local data storage, alarm review, and networked machine interaction in the same panel.
