Product Description:
The 5D5600.01 human-machine interface is produced by B&R Automation for the 5D5 Provit Interface Panels series. It is a key-operated terminal that brings process data, alarm acknowledgment, and manual control directly to production lines and cells. By combining a color TFT display with hard keys, the panel gives operators a dedicated station for recipe selection, parameter entry, and status feedback in industrial automation environments. Its physical controls provide direct access to commonly used machine functions without requiring navigation through multiple on-screen menus.
The unit employs CFL backlighting that raises screen luminance to 200 cd/m², ensuring legibility under factory lighting. A diagonal measurement of 10.4 inches (264 mm) provides ample room for process graphics, status indicators, and control menus. The display has a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels, so standard VGA content is shown without scaling artifacts. Image depth is enhanced by 262,144 colors delivered through TFT color technology, allowing clear differentiation of process trends and alarm states. The enclosure has an anodized aluminum frame that provides electrical shielding and scratch resistance. Forty-six LED-backed function keys supplement the numeric and cursor keys, allowing users to trigger predefined actions while wearing gloves or when contaminants make screen-based input impractical.
Front ingress protection is rated at IP65 / NEMA 250 Type 4X and is achieved with a flat gasket that seals the bezel against the cabinet door. The rear electronics remain protected by an IP20 barrier after the panel is mounted. Operator inputs can travel through a remote cable up to 10 m long, enabling placement on swing arms or door panels away from the main controller. The housing measures 482 × 310 × 31 mm, providing a 19-inch width and a height of 7 HU for rack integration. Its shallow 31 mm depth limits intrusion into the enclosure and leaves more internal space for controllers, wiring ducts, and other automation components.
