Product Description:
5D5500.59 is a Provit 5000 series operator panel. It is produced by B&R Automation for industrial applications involving process control. The panel has a display and keys for operator input. The panel is designed for rugged industrial environments. It is sold as used/refurbished unit. Its weight is approximately 3.2 kilograms. The display on the unit has a diagonal display size of 10.4 inches. Its resolution is VGA (640 × 480). The display is based on TFT technology. TFT stands for Thin-Film Transistor and refers to an LCD technology that uses individual transistors for each pixel to control color and brightness more precisely. Front side protection rating of the unit is IP65. This indicates that the unit is dust-tight and safe from low-pressure jets of water. The operator panel is controlled by a controller.
A cable connects the operator panel to the controller. Maximum length of the cable is 10 meters. Provit 5000 series controllers use a fuse for overload protection. The current rating for this fuse is 1 Amp and the voltage rating is 250 Volts. The fuse requires replacement if an overload occurs. Power supply to the unit must be disconnected before changing the fuse. Staff must discharge themselves, remove the housing cover, remove the faulty fuse, install the new fuse, fasten the housing cover, and reconnect system power. The controllers also include a Lithium battery with 3-year operating life. This battery must be replaced periodically. Prior to battery replacement, the system must be disconnected from the power supply. The rest of procedure is similar to that for fuse replacement. Operation and maintenance of the 5D5500.59 system must be carried out by qualified personnel.
