The 5D5500 is a display that serves as an interface for engineers to monitor the operation of industrial PC units and send command instructions. The display is built to be used with the IPC5000 and IPC5600 industrial PC unit series, for the IPC56000 the unique mechanical dimension of the unit allows for only remote operation of the display unit. In this case, the display is mounted away from the PC unit and connected to it through a connection cable. This product is of the Thin Film Transistor (TFT) display type, it features a high intensity background light and produces impressive image and text quality at a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.
The TFT display of this product can render up to 262,144 different colors, however actual number of colors is determined by the type of graphics driver and graphics memory used with the display. The 5D5500 display is a low maintenance device, when properly installed it can maintain its optimum operation for at least 10,000 power on hours. The control of the display is done through a keypad which features about 23 function keys with LEDs and 20 system keys.
