The 5D5212.02 operator terminal is produced by B & R Automation within the 5D5 Provit Interface Panels series. As a graphic interface panel, it allows machine operators to issue commands and receive status feedback directly at the production line, linking PLC control logic with a human-readable display. It is intended for distributed control architectures on packaging, assembly, and forming machinery. This arrangement gives operators a local point for viewing alarms, process values, and screen-based controls during normal machine operation.
Its TFT color display measures 15 in (381 mm) on the diagonal and renders graphics at 1024 x 768 pixels. Color depth is 262,144 distinct hues, and the Cold-Cathode Fluorescent Lamp backlight provides a brightness of 200 cd/m2, supporting clear viewing in standard factory lighting. Touch input is processed through an Accu Touch sensor that uses an analog resistive layer, so the panel responds to finger presses or stylus contact without requiring special gloves. The anodized aluminum frame resists scratches, and the overall dimensions of 435 mm in width and 330 mm in height make the unit suitable for front-panel mounting in control cabinets. The screen format is suitable for menus, status pages, and process graphics that need more detail than a basic text display can provide.

Installation space is aided by a depth of only 51 mm, so the panel can fit shallow doors and swing arms. The shallow housing is useful where rear clearance is limited by cabinet structure or nearby components.
