Product Description:
The 5D5200.04 is a human-machine interface panel manufactured by B & R Automation for the 5D5 Provit Interface Panels series. The unit mounts on machine fronts to give operators direct visual feedback and command entry for PLC-controlled processes. Its 13.8-inch TFT screen, sealed bezel, and resistive touch layer make it suitable for production lines that need reliable local control without exposing internal electronics to dust, moisture, or mechanical damage.
Visual clarity comes from a brightness level of 180 cd/m² and a native resolution of 640 × 480 pixels, allowing operators to read status data and alarms without pixelation. The active area spans a diagonal of 13.8 inches (350 mm). The panel uses a TFT color display with CFL backlighting, and its lamps are rated for 10,000 hours of operation. A polyester foil overlays the viewing window, while an anodized aluminum frame surrounds the perimeter to resist surface abrasion. A flat gasket is bonded around the front to block spray ingress. The overall housing measures 392 × 296 × 52 mm, giving it a shallow profile for installation in enclosure doors.
On the installed machine face, the front side carries a protection rating of IP65 / NEMA 250 Type 4X, so washdown cleaning and airborne particles will not expose the electronics. The rear side remains open to the cabinet interior and is limited to IP20, making it suitable for installation within typical control enclosures. Communication with the host controller can extend up to 10 m, enabling remote panel placement on swing arms or operator stations. Commands are entered through the Accu Touch system, which uses an analog resistive sensor stack. This input technology supports gloved operation without affecting coordinate accuracy, making the panel practical for industrial environments where direct skin contact with the screen may not be possible.
