The 5D2500.01 is a control display panel manufactured by B&R Automation for the 5D2 Control Display Panels series. It combines a monochrome LCD screen with a tactile keyboard to serve as the local human-machine interface in automated production lines. Operators can view process data and issue commands without connecting an external computer. The panel provides a dedicated interface for monitoring equipment, navigating menus, acknowledging alarms, and entering control commands at the machine.
The panel has a 9.4 in (239 mm) diagonal LCD that operates at VGA (640 × 480 pixels), providing detailed images with responsive screen updates from an embedded controller. Luminance reaches 65 cd/m², so status graphics remain legible under typical indoor lighting. The monochrome LCD displays 61 shades of gray, providing sufficient tonal separation for trend lines, status indicators, and alarm icons. Illumination is supplied by a CFL backlight rated for 25,000 hours of operation before its brightness falls to half of its original level. Nonreflective filter glass suppresses glare that could otherwise obscure information on the screen. Square key geometry organizes the membrane keyboard so users can move through menus and enter commands efficiently.
An anodized aluminum bezel provides front protection rated at IP65, preventing dust and splashing water from entering the electronics when the unit is flush-mounted.
