The 5D2500 is a sophisticated display unit manufactured by the reputable B&R Automation to provide industrial operators with a convenient interface through which the operation of industrial controllers can be monitors, and command instructions can be sent into the servo system in real time. This display unit is designed specifically for the IPC200 and IPC2001 industrial controller series, it is intended to be mounted on the housing of these controllers for easy access and operation. The 5D2500 display unit can feature either a liquid crystal display or a Thin Film Transistor display. It maintains a Video Graphics Array (VGA) resolution of about 640 x 480 pixels. It can also display up to 262, 144 colors although the actual number of colors depends on the graphics mode set and the software used with the display unit.
The 5D2500 display unit features two different protection classification, its front panel is designed to effectively withstand dust and sprayed water according to the IP65 protection category, however the back panel of the display is designed to meet the IP20 protection class, and is only resistant to large solid interference. The filter glass of this display unit is a non-reflective filter glass, while the frame is made from anodized aluminum which is resistant to corrosion and is very easy to maintain. Also, the decor foil of the display unit is made from polyester.
The 5D2500 display should be protected from extreme ambient temperature during operation. The permissible temperature range is between 0 to about 45 degree Celsius depending on the installation position of the display. The total weight of the display is about 2.1 kilograms. The 5D2500 also features a black design.
