Product Description:
The 5CASDL.0430-13 is a premolded HMI interconnect cable from B & R Automation's 5CA HMI Cables series, engineered to link a machine-mounted operator panel to a controller or IPC inside the cabinet. It combines digital video lines, control conductors, and auxiliary low-voltage supply cores in one sheath. This layout reduces cable clutter between the panel and cabinet while helping the connected system keep stable communication in automated production cells. Because the needed conductors are bundled together, the installation can use a single routed assembly instead of separate display and control leads.
Signal integrity is supported by a multilayer shield made of aluminum-clad foil and tinned copper braiding, which helps suppress electromagnetic interference along the full cable run. At each end, dual video connections use 2x DVI-D (24+1) male connectors to carry the display signal. Inside the jacket, the control conductors use 24 AWG wire, while the high-speed data pairs use 26 AWG wire to balance current capacity and impedance. The assembly is intended for system voltages up to 30 V. A 125 mm molded extender box provides strain relief, the TMPU jacket resists oil and abrasion, dielectric testing covers 0.5 kV wire-to-shield and 1 kV wire-to-wire spacing, and the connectors are rated for at least 200 mating cycles.
For moving-panel applications, the cable supports a minimum drag-chain bend radius of 180 mm and motion rates up to 4800 cycles/hour. Service life testing confirms up to 300,000 continuous flex cycles under those conditions. Electrical insulation remains above 200 MΩ/km, which helps keep leakage current low during extended operation. This is useful where an operator panel is mounted on a door, swing arm, or other moving support that cycles throughout normal machine operation. The semi-matte jacket and braided shield support use on pick-and-place equipment, conveyor systems, and other axes where the cable is exposed to repeated motion and vibration.
