The 5CASDL.0300-13 cable is manufactured by B&R Automation for the 5CA HMI Cables series. The assembly connects a remote human-machine interface panel to the central controller inside automated equipment, so one harness can carry display data together with low-voltage control signals. Its flexible sheath supports routing through gantries, moving arms, and drag chains used on packaging, printing, and robotic stations. This arrangement keeps cable routing more orderly in compact machine enclosures and moving equipment sections. By combining these channels in one cable, the assembly reduces separate harness runs, and keyed contacts help prevent incorrect mating.

The outer jacket measures up to 12 mm in diameter. The cable terminates with two DVI-D (24+1) male plugs, and the pins use gold-plated contact surfaces to help preserve signal continuity through repeated mating cycles. Copper conductors are arranged as 26 AWG data pairs and 24 AWG control cores, all rated for a continuous line potential of 30 V. In free-moving layouts, the cable must observe a minimum dynamic loop of 15 × cable diameter, while guided carrier routing allows bends down to 180 mm without exceeding internal stress limits. Screw-lock fasteners secure the connectors, and tightening torque must not exceed 0.5 Nm.

For motion applications, the cable is rated for 300,000 flex cycles and speeds of up to 4800 cycles per hour. Electrical integrity is supported by an insulation resistance greater than 200 MΩ/km, which helps maintain stable video transmission in environments that promote surface leakage. During placement, the cable can withstand a peak pulling force of 400 N, and continuous operating tension must remain at 50 N to avoid conductor stretch. Low-resistance shielding helps protect signal quality during repeated movement on operator-panel axes.
