The 5CASD3.0070-00 is an industrial Ethernet HMI cable manufactured by B & R Automation within the 5CA HMI Cables series. It links an operator terminal to a controller or network switch, establishing the data path for recipe transfer, visualization updates, and service diagnostics on automated machinery. Supplied as a preassembled cable assembly with molded plugs and strain relief, it avoids field termination work and supports consistent Ethernet connections in control cabinets and machine frames.

On the physical layer, the assembly maintains a nominal wave impedance of 100 ±5 Ω, which helps minimize signal reflections along the cable. Its connectors are two male RJ45 connectors, and each plug has eight gold-plated contacts for full-duplex Ethernet communication. Under normal ambient conditions, the polyurethane outer jacket provides an ingress rating of IP20, making the cable suitable for protected cabinet routing.
