The 5CASD3.0050-00 is an HMI communication cable manufactured by B&R Automation within the 5CA HMI Cables series. It links an operator panel to a controller or switch, carrying Ethernet-based data and power for touch inputs, status displays, and HMI communication inside automated machines and production lines. The assembly uses two male RJ45 connectors, so it mates with standard industrial Ethernet ports at both ends. This layout supports a direct connection between the panel and the connected network device without additional interface hardware.

This model provides a reach of 5 m, enabling point-to-point routing between the panel and the cabinet without excess slack. Data integrity is supported by Category 6A / Class EA performance, which allows 10 Gbps transmission over balanced pairs. Crosstalk and external electromagnetic noise are reduced by an aluminum foil and tinned copper braid shield wrapped around the four twisted pairs. Installation through narrow carriers is possible because the cable has an overall diameter of 6.7 mm, and its bare copper conductors use a 4 × 2 × 26/7 AWG layout. The IP20 rating is suitable for mounting inside closed enclosures where direct liquid ingress is not expected.

A jacket of Polyurethane (PUR) resists abrasion from cable chains and slide rails during repeated machine movement.
