The 5CAMPC.0020-11 is an HMI patch cable produced by B&R Automation for the 5CA HMI Cables series. Intended for panel-to-controller wiring inside automated cells, this model uses a straight-through pinout so signals pass without crossover. A molded push-pull receptacle on the panel side supports quick connection in confined cabinets, and the internal conductors use tinned copper stranded wire to maintain flexibility and resist corrosion. At 153 g per meter, the assembly adds little load to cable carriers and is suitable for moving operator-interface axes. That arrangement helps keep routing simple when the cable runs between an HMI panel and adjacent control hardware.

With a total length of 2 m ± 0.05 m, the cable can bridge most local HMI installations without excess slack. Network connectivity is provided through an RJ45 modular plug that supports 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet traffic, allowing the panel PC to exchange process data over standard switches. For auxiliary logic lines, the insulation system tolerates up to 30 VDC, and conductor resistance is limited to 30 Ω/km to keep voltage drop low over the run. The assembly is supplied from a 24 VDC source to match SELV requirements, and the combined data-and-supply layout allows one harness to carry communication and low-power loads. This layout also helps reduce cable clutter in compact control spaces.

The outer diameter is 10 mm, which fits typical M12 cable glands while still leaving room for shielding and strain relief. During installation, the jacket can withstand a peak tensile load of 140 N, and motion loops should observe a minimum bend radius of 60 mm to help prevent core damage. The sheath is made of PUR, which resists oil splash and machining coolants. It is also silicone-free and halogen-free, which helps limit contamination in paint lines and reduces corrosive gas release during a fire. These material properties suit repeated movement and routine cleaning in industrial enclosures.
