Product Description:
The 4D2024.00-099 operator panel comes from B & R Automation and belongs to the 4D PanelWare Panels series. It is a vacuum-fluorescent display module intended for machine consoles, where it presents process data, alarm messages, and simple text prompts directly at the equipment. Its purpose is to provide local visual feedback for running states, faults, and menu navigation without requiring a separate screen. The front face uses a VFD that produces its own light, so the display remains readable in dim industrial areas without added backlighting. Message capacity is arranged as 2 × 40 characters, which gives the panel enough room for status text and menu selections on a compact screen.
The housing projects only 35 mm behind the mounting surface, which helps when cabinet depth is limited or wiring space is tight. That shallow profile also helps the unit fit doors with nearby cable ducts, terminals, or other installed hardware. Each character is 5.0 mm tall, keeping the text visible while preserving a compact front layout. The display uses Green (505 nm) illumination for clear contrast against the dark background. The panel has a width of 288 mm, allowing it to fit neatly into door layouts that use rack-style spacing.
Logic electronics and illumination draw a nominal 130 mA at 24 VDC (+25 mA at full load), so the unit places a light demand on a standard control supply. This power requirement suits common 24 VDC auxiliary circuits used in industrial cabinets. Continuous operation is permitted from 0 to 50 °C and at relative humidity from 20 to 85% RH, which supports use inside typical automation enclosures. During storage, the module can withstand temperatures from -20 to 60 °C and humidity up to 90% RH without condensation. Storage conditions should remain noncondensing to protect the display and internal electronics.
