The 4D1164.00-090 operator panel is manufactured by B & R Automation for the 4D PanelWare Panels series. As a compact human-machine interface, it mounts on equipment enclosures and supplies machine operators with direct function keys and monochrome graphics, giving concise status information and command entry in automated lines and cells. The unit’s front keypad and LCD work together with the controller to simplify startup, recipe selection, and alarm acknowledgment within a broader industrial automation system. Integrated key lighting and a graphics-capable display eliminate the need for auxiliary input devices.
Display output is driven by an LCD graphics module that supports bitmap rendering at 128 × 240 pixels, while a secondary text layer offers 16 × 40 characters for menu prompts. A cold-cathode backlight source, specified as CFL, keeps the screen legible in dim plant areas. The membrane keyboard presents 6 tactile keys, and each key is edge-lit by discrete LEDs to improve visibility during night shifts. Internal electronics draw 135 mA from a 24 VDC supply.
