Product Description:
The B & R Automation produces 4B1210.00-590 Panelware HMI. It is an industrial-size human-machine interface designated as the P121 model for industrial automation. It has a 2 × 20-character LCD with a backlight to give good visibility under various light conditions. Eight physical keys allow user interaction. They are each supplied with LED indicators for feedback.
The 4B1210.00-590 Panelware HMI is set up using PANELWARE Configuration Software V1.71 or later. It can work under humidity conditions between 10% to 90% non-condensing. It complies with the IEC 60068-2-27 standard for shock resistance and the IEC 60068-2-6 standard for vibration resistance. The P121 model does not support internal EEPROM memory for the storage of application pictures. All control operations are controlled through ESC sequences without onboard storage capacity. Communication on the 4B1210.00-590 Panelware HMI is handled through a non-isolated RS232 interface. The signals are referenced to ground, and the RS232 pinout includes Pin 2 for receiving data and Pin 3 for transmitting data. Pins 4, 6, and 9 supply +5V, while Pin 5 connects to ground. Other pins are not used. The HMI operates on a supply voltage of 5.2 VDC, with a low of 5.0 VDC and a high of 5.5 VDC. It draws 200 mA at 5.2 VDC. This makes it suitable for low-power installations in control panels.
The 4B1210.00-590 Panelware HMI works at a temperature of 0 to 50 °C. The panel accommodates storage temperatures ranging from -20 to 60 °C. Its front panel is 96 mm wide and 192 mm high, and it has a depth of 35 mm. This small footprint facilitates seamless integration into control systems. The HMI is best suited for straightforward control applications needing simple display and input functions without requiring internal data storage.
