Product Description:
The 0RMSM1145 network module is produced by B&R Automation within the 0RM GateManager Modules series. Intended for DIN-rail mounting inside control cabinets, the unit functions as an industrial gateway between machine-level controllers and higher-tier Ethernet or Wi-Fi segments. It supports remote diagnostics, software distribution, and event logging without disturbing local control loops. This arrangement allows maintenance data and operational records to travel through a managed network connection while machine controls continue operating locally.
Processing tasks are handled by a 563 MHz system clock driving an ARM Cortex-A5 CPU, giving the module enough throughput for encrypted tunneling and protocol conversion. Control power is accepted from a 12 to 24 VDC source, so the module can share the low-voltage bus used by PLC I/O packs. The front panel carries a shielded RJ45 port that supports a 10/100 Mbit/s data rate over the 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX physical layer. The copper link can reach 100 m when Category 5e cable is used, providing enough range for routing through large control systems. An enclosure rating of IP20 indicates that the housing is finger-safe but must be installed in a closed panel. Continuous operation is supported from -25 to 60 °C with relative humidity between 5% and 95%, allowing the device to remain active in unconditioned equipment rooms.
The housing measures 32 mm in width, has a depth of 97 mm, and reaches 107 mm in height. Its mass of 0.5 kg places minimal additional load on the DIN rail and surrounding cabinet hardware. Wireless connectivity is provided through an RP-SMA female port intended for external antennas operating around 2400 MHz. The external antenna connection permits placement outside metal enclosures, where cabinet walls are less likely to weaken the wireless signal. A fixed twisted-pair uplink and support for remotely positioned antennas provide separate options for wired and wireless network routing inside complex machines.
