B & R Automation produces the module 0RMSM1135.4G-EU, to offer reliable communication in industrial applications. It integrates a broadband modem with LTE and Ethernet interfaces to provide 50 Mbit/s of download and 25 Mbit/s upload speed. This module supports multiple LTE bands that includes B1, B3, B7, B8, B20, B38 and B40.

The 0RMSM1135.4G-EU module is designed to work with both 3G/4G networks and it also supports WCDMA/UMTS bands B1 and B8 for further connectivity. Additionally, it comes with GPRS/EDGE on bands B3 and B8. This module’s processor is based on the ARM Cortex-A5 architecture and it operates at a clock speed of 0.563 GHz. The 0RMS module uses Ethernet for communication and features two shielded RJ45 ports for high-speed data transfer. Its first interface (IF1) along with the second interface (IF2), both supports a maximum data transfer rate of 100 Mbit/s. These ports operate with full-duplex and half-duplex communication. The 0RMS module possess auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDIX features as well and it has a third interface for cellular communication via an SMA female connector. It is housed in a durable aluminum casing that makes the total weight 0.5 kg and its dimensional measure is 32 mm W x 107 mm H x 97 mm D.

The 0RMSM1135.4G-EU module consumes 5 W of power from a required regulated supply source of 12 to 24 V DC as input. It operates in an ambient thermal range of -25°C to 45°C, at an altitude of maximum 1000 m above sea level. The 0RMS module comes with an IP20 degree of protection, which ensures resistance against solid objects but not water and it is built to perform in environments with 5% to 95% relative humidity.
