Product Description:

The 0PS320.1 is a three-phase DIN-rail power supply manufactured by B&R Automation within the 0PS Power Supplies series. It converts industrial mains or DC-link energy into a stabilized 24 V rail that supplies PLC racks, I/O modules, and sensor networks in automated machinery. Designed for cabinet installation, the module connects directly to the common power backbone of B&R drive systems. It also provides galvanic isolation between the primary line and the 24 V control circuit, helping separate sensitive control equipment from the incoming power source.

The unit accepts a wide input range of 3 × 400–500 VAC at 47–63 Hz and draws a nominal 3 × 1.5 A under rated load. Its starting current remains below 2.5 A RMS, with a peak below 7 A. For applications with a DC intermediate circuit, a second port accepts 450–820 VDC, allowing energy to be shared with regenerative drives. Conversion efficiency reaches 92%, reducing the amount of heat released inside the cabinet. The supply maintains its default output of 24.5 VDC ±0.5% for more than 11 ms after input power is lost, giving connected controllers time to store operating states. Output regulation withstands rapid mains disturbances through transient immunity rated at 1,300 V for 1.3 ms.

On the secondary side, the regulated bus can be adjusted from 24 to 28 VDC. At the factory setting, the converter delivers 20 A and provides up to 490 W of continuous power to actuators and logic circuits. Overvoltage protection limits the output to 33 V ±10%, while 35 V power-back immunity protects the unit against voltage returned by inductive loads. The supply remains operational from 0–70 °C, allowing installation in cabinets exposed to elevated ambient temperatures. Internal capacitors assist the response to sudden load changes and help stabilize the secondary bus. Line-to-load isolation provides separation between the incoming supply and connected control circuits.
