The 0PS310.1 three-phase power module is produced by B&R Automation within the 0PS Power Supplies series. Intended for DIN-rail installation in control cabinets, the unit converts an industrial 400 to 500 VAC supply into a stabilized 24 VDC rail that feeds programmable controllers, fieldbus couplers, proximity switches, and pneumatic solenoids. By combining rectification, filtering, and electronic regulation inside a single housing, it simplifies panel layouts and removes the need for separate point-of-use adapters. This arrangement helps connected automation equipment receive consistent DC power even when the incoming line varies within the supported range.
In normal operation, the supply delivers a default rail voltage of 24.5 VDC and can provide a continuous current of 10 A, giving a usable output power of 240 W for motion controllers and digital I/O. When connected to a 400 VAC mains supply, the three input phases draw 3 × 0.8 A, which helps limit conductor heating and supports practical upstream protection selection. At 500 VAC, the conversion stage reaches an efficiency of 92 %, so only a small portion of energy is lost as heat and the unit can operate near its rated output without added forced cooling.
