Product Description:
The 0PS105.1 is one of B&R Automation’s most economical power supplies released under the 0PS product series. With its compact construction, closed metal housing, and fine ventilation grid, this device performs well for high overload applications while requiring only a small installation space. With its top-hat rail, the device supports DIN rail mounting, which allows it to withstand certain amounts of vibration and continuous lateral pressure. As part of the 0PS series, the 0PS105.1 is compatible with single-phase systems with a nominal input range of 115 or 230 V. Unlike other power supply units available on the market today, the 0PS105.1 is one of the most user-friendly devices with intuitive labels for most connection ports.
The 0PS105.1 features a switchable input terminal, allowing it to safely cover a wide range of inputs at the following ranges: 100 to 120 V and 220 to 240 V. Within the admissible voltage range, the device can safely handle signals with a frequency of 47 to 63 hertz. Aside from AC inputs, the 0PS105.1 can also support DC inputs in the range of 210 to 375 volts. At the nominal voltage input of 115 V, the device draws 2.6 amperes. When the input voltage is set to 230 V, the device only draws less than 1.4 A. At idle conditions, the 0PS105.1 draws only 5 mA, assuming DC input.
At rated load conditions, the 0PS105.1 achieves a typical efficiency and loss of 90% and 13.3 watts, respectively. In terms of reliability, this device has an MTBF of 520,000 hours at a typical operating temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. On average, the 0PS105.1 requires 5 to 20 milliseconds to start and employs a startup delay of 100 milliseconds.
Frequently Asked Questions about 0PS105.1:
Q: What are the dimensions of the 0PS105.1?
A: The 0PS105.1 measures 64 by 124 by 102 millimeters, including the rail for mounting.
Q: How much vertical and horizontal clearance does the 0PS105.1 require for efficient cooling?
A: During installation, the recommended clearances for the 0PS105.1 are 25 mm (vertical) and 15 mm (horizontal), respectively. These clearances ensure enough ventilation during operation.
Q: Why does the 0PS105.1 enter idle mode when the input is DC?
A: When the input is DC, the 0PS105.1 enters idle mode to conserve battery charge.
Q: What is the permissible storage and transport temperature range for the 0PS105.1?
A: The 0PS105.1 may safely be stored or transported at a temperature range of -25 to 85 degrees Celsius.
Q: Can the 0PS105.1 be used for parallel operation?
A: Technically, the 0PS105.1 can be used for parallel operation. However, operating the 0PS105.1 in parallel may not be suitable at all times since current balancing is not available.
