Product Description:
The 0PS1050.1 is a single-phase power supply manufactured by B & R Automation within the 0PS Power Supplies series. Designed for control-cabinet installation, it converts mains energy into stabilized 24-volt DC needed for PLCs, I/O modules, and sensing hardware in automated machinery. With a height of 130 mm and a width of 40 mm, it occupies one narrow rail position, and its compact format suits machines that need dedicated control power without taking much panel space.
During operation, the supply delivers a regulated output of 24 VDC at a continuous 5 A, providing up to 120 W to downstream loads. A power factor of 0.72 reflects the phase relationship between input current and voltage, so upstream wiring must accommodate moderate reactive demand. The enclosure carries an IP20 rating, so it is intended for dry, dust-free cabinets and allows natural convection through the slotted housing. Installation uses screw terminals, and conductors are stripped 9 mm before insertion to ensure proper clamp engagement. Internal dissipation peaks at 18 W under full load and falls to a no-load loss of 1.1 W, values that indicate the heat released inside the enclosure. Output conductors may be protected by downstream breakers because the device already handles primary faults with an integrated slow-blow fuse.
The physical depth of 115 mm allows the housing to fit shallow panels while still leaving clearance for airflow behind the rail. A mass of 600 g places little strain on plastic DIN clips during transport vibration. Primary protection is provided by a 3.15 A Slow-Blow internal fuse, which tolerates short inrush events yet disconnects safely under sustained faults. Output integrity is maintained at altitudes up to 4000 m, so the supply can be used in machines installed in elevated regions.
