The 0PS1042.2 is a top-tier power supply module made by B&R Automation for small single-phase systems. It offers a high degree of efficiency and supports a wide range of inputs for different types of applications. Like other 0PS products from B&R, the 0PS1042.2 features a temperature range of -25 to 70 degrees Celsius, an extra flat design, and a high MTBF of more than 500,000 hours. The top-hat rail present in this modular device allows it to be easily installed via DIN rail or wall mounting. At standard operating conditions, this device can easily achieve a stable output current of 4.2 A, a terminal voltage of 24 V, and a rated power of 100 W.
For compatible single-phase systems, the 0PS1042.2 can accommodate a minimum and maximum voltage input of 85 V and 264 V, respectively. At this input range, the corresponding frequency must not exceed between 45 and 65 hertz. At an input voltage of 120 V, the corresponding input current of the device is 1.3 A. When the input voltage exceeds 230 V, however, the unit can only achieve an input current of approximately 0.8 A. During starting conditions, the 0PS1042.2 can withstand a maximum inrush current of up to 15 A.
Based on its datasheet, the 0PS1042.2 has a nominal voltage of 24 VDC. In real applications, however, the nominal output voltage may vary by plus or minus 1%. When the power supply operates below 40 degrees Celsius, the output current can achieve a maximum rating of 4.4 A.
