The 0PS1025.2 is a single-phase switched-mode power supply produced by B&R Automation for the 0PS Power Supplies series. Mounted on a DIN rail in machinery cabinets, it converts the mains line into a tightly regulated 24 VDC bus that feeds PLC CPUs, distributed I/O, and low-voltage actuators. By providing galvanic separation from the primary network, it protects sensitive control electronics from high-energy transients and establishes a stable foundation for real-time automation tasks.
At its terminals, the unit delivers a nominal output of 24 VDC ±1%, supplying a continuous current of 2.5 A and a maximum power of 60 W. When overload conditions occur, an electronic limiter caps demand at 4.4 A, while an insulation barrier rated at 4 kV AC maintains safety between the primary and secondary circuits. Output quality is preserved by a residual ripple of <50 mVpp and switching peaks below 50 mVss, so analog sensors experience minimal noise. After energization, the supply reaches its set value in under 0.5 seconds, which prevents extended brownout periods during system startup. This allows the module to power motion controllers and fieldbus couplers without additional line conditioning.
The housing is only 61 mm deep, while the width is 72 mm and the height is 90 mm. Its mass of 300 g permits tool-free DIN-rail clipping even on light-gauge panels. Input protection is handled by a built-in 3.15 A Slow-Blow fuse, and the corrected line draw achieves a power factor of 0.65, helping shared circuits stay within breaker limits. The front LED illuminates once the output exceeds 21.5 V, giving quick confirmation of healthy voltage. Each conductor requires 6.5 mm of stripped insulation, and the labeled terminals help maintain orderly wiring in confined enclosures.
