The 0GH-CP100 is a programmable logic controller CPU manufactured by B&R Automation for the 0GH PLC Modules series. It serves as the core processor in distributed machine control systems, where it runs the user application, updates I/O images, and coordinates serial links to auxiliary equipment inside an industrial cabinet. This role allows the module to manage logic execution and communication tasks in the same control rack without requiring a separate processor card for routine machine functions.

The controller executes each instruction in 0.8 µs, supporting deterministic response even with complex ladder or structured-text programs. Program variables reside in 256 KB SRAM, while high-speed data exchange with neighboring cards uses a dual-ported buffer of 128 KB SRAM. The user program is stored on ME910 or ME913 application memory, allowing removable updates without changing the board, and continuous operation draws only 10 W, which helps limit cabinet heat. A 2-line, 8-character display and six status LEDs show operating mode, fault codes, and fieldbus activity. Real-time functions use 10 ms RTC resolution, and onboard relays can switch solenoids or contactors directly.

Data exchange to host PCs or drive inverters is routed through a 9-pin D-sub connector that carries RS232, RS232/TTY, and RS485/RS422 signals. The RS232 channel reaches a maximum speed of 64 kBaud, while the differential RS485/RS422 interface can transmit at 347 kBaud over distances up to 1200 m. This combination supports both short local serial links and longer multidrop network runs in larger production lines. Passive cooling is aided by the 285 × 80 × 185 mm housing, which fits standard 19-inch racks. The module remains operational from 0 °C to 55 °C and can be stored between −20 °C and +60 °C without performance drift, making it suitable for spare inventory in varied warehouse conditions.
