The 0GH-AO350 is an analog output module produced by B & R Automation for the 0GH PLC Modules series. Installed on the System 2005 backplane, it provides voltage signals to external actuators and is intended for closed-loop control tasks inside industrial machines. The module couples to the controller through the base unit while occupying a single-width slot, allowing compact assembly of distributed I/O. By converting digital setpoints from the CPU into precise analog levels, it bridges logic processing and field devices in process and motion applications.

Each of the eight voltage channels is converted from digital data within 250 µs, giving the controller fast response in servo or dosing loops. Output resolution is 12-bit, translating the numerical command into 4096 discrete steps across the ±10 V range. Under reference conditions at 20 °C, basic accuracy is ±0.25%, so drift and gain errors remain small relative to full scale. The module provides 8 outputs that share a common reference. The channels are not isolated from one another, although the backplane is galvanically separated from field wiring by PLC isolation circuits. Short-circuit-protected output stages disconnect automatically during wiring faults, and a front-panel LED indicates operating and diagnostic states.

Thermal and mechanical constraints are modest. Total consumption is 5.0 W, drawn as 4.0 W from the 24 V rail and 1.0 W from the 5 V backplane supply, so panel power can be budgeted precisely. The housing carries an IP20 rating, offering finger-safe openings without liquid sealing. For installation, the slice locks directly onto a base unit and an adjacent expansion carrier, which keeps the fieldbus and power links continuous across the rack. This arrangement conserves space inside System 2005 cabinets and allows analog output capacity to expand with machine requirements.
