The 0GH-AM050 is an analog input/output expansion for the 0GH PLC Modules series manufactured by B&R Automation. Installed on the system backplane, the module adds four voltage-measuring channels and four voltage-driving channels to a controller, allowing the PLC to monitor process signals and drive actuators without external converters. In industrial automation architectures, it serves as the interface between low-level sensors, such as pressure or position transducers, and the digital logic executed in the CPU. This arrangement supports closed-loop tasks where measured values must be compared with command values in real time.

The input side uses a 12-bit successive-approximation ADC across its four channels. The conversion error remains within ±0.1% at 25 °C, so feedback loops can rely on consistent scaling without additional calibration.
