Product Description:

The 0GH-AI300 is an analog input expansion card produced by B&R Automation for the 0GH PLC Modules series. It installs on the system backplane and supplies voltage-mode measurement capability that a controller uses to read process sensors and instrumentation. By converting field-level voltages into digital words, the module allows the PLC CPU to monitor pressures, levels, and other process values before issuing control actions in industrial automation cells.

The module samples each channel with 12-bit resolution, giving 4096 discrete codes for quantizing the incoming signal. A 1 ms conversion time per channel supports fast control loops, while ±0.25 % basic accuracy at 20 °C represents the maximum deviation under reference conditions. Across the full operating span, accuracy changes only to ±0.5 % between 0 and 60 °C, so temperature drift remains small. Noise suppression is assisted by 40 dB common-mode rejection at 50 Hz, which helps limit mains interference before the A/D stage. The front edge provides 16 input channels, and each one presents 1 MΩ differential resistance so most transducers see a negligible load.

The electrical envelope accepts a -10 to +10 V nominal signal range, yet fault events up to -20 to +20 V maximum will not damage the circuitry. Total dissipation stays within 9 W power consumption, which helps reduce cabinet heat buildup during operation. Although there is no channel-to-channel isolation, the input group is optically separated from the rack power supply, providing isolation between the inputs and the rack supply. A 400 Hz filter cutoff ahead of the converter attenuates higher-frequency noise and complements the common-mode rejection performance. The enclosure measures 40 mm in width, 285 mm in height, and 185 mm in depth, so two units can sit side by side in a standard control cabinet without exceeding the usual rail depth allowance.
