The 0AC808.9 is an Ethernet interface converter produced by B&R Automation as part of the 0AC Interface Converters series. Installed within control cabinets, the unit aggregates twisted-pair network lines and feeds them to controllers or remote I/O, allowing industrial devices to exchange data over standard 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX links. By translating signaling levels and isolating segments, the converter simplifies expansion of machine networks without requiring protocol changes.
The module is powered from a control supply of 24 VDC and forwards traffic at a maximum transfer rate of 10/100 Mbit/s. It offers 8 shielded RJ45 ports that accept Auto-MDI/MDIX cabling and support autonegotiation, so crossover or straight-through cords can be mixed without manual setting.
