The BECKHOFF EL7047-9014 is a Stepper Motor Terminal with STO, Vector Control, and Incremental Encoder. This model supports communication over EtherCAT – the industrial Ethernet. The EL7047-9014 is considered as an ideal solution for stepper motors from AS2000 series which comes equipped with an integrated encoder. You can operate this stepper motor terminal at full load and higher output currents with the help of a ZB8610 fan cartridge. With this model, you will be able to implement various safety functions including Safe Torque off (STO).

The EL7047-9014 is designed for the controlling of 2-phase bipolar- or uni-stepper motors and has 2 x end position inputs, 1 x STO input, 1 x feedback input, and 1 x motor brake output. This model offers a direct connection for both motor and feedback encoders. The control circuitry of the EL7047-9014 is operated through a 24 VDC control supply that is fed via power contacts. 8 to 48 V DC voltages are externally supplied to this unit for motor power and control. In its default configuration, this servo motor terminal can supply up to 5 A maximum current. However, its performance can be enhanced and up to 6.5, A maximum current can be drawn with the help of the ZB8610 fan module.

The EL7047-9014 is designed to provide approximately 5000 positions per revolution in typical applications. This model supports the controlling of travel distance as well. To communicate the status of the drive, warnings, errors, and other parameters the front panel contains multiple LEDs. These LEDs offer quick, visual information to the user.
