Product Description
The EK1101-0080 is an EtherCAT coupler with an ID switch from Beckhoff Automation GmbH. The coupler incorporates Fast Hot Connect technology and helps in coupling ELxxxxEtherCAT terminals to 100BASE-TX EtherCAT networks. The Hot Connect feature helps in making changes to topologies via direct coupling or uncoupling when the product is in use. It also assists in reducing the connection time to a great extent. Fast Hot connect ports come with special identification because each one of them can be connected only to another unique port of the same kind. The data is transmitted using Ethernet/EtherCAT shielded CAT-5 cables. The coupler comes with a warranty period of one year and can be delivered to any address worldwide through our global network.
The EtherCAT coupler supports a maximum of 65,534 EtherCAT terminals and 4,096 configurable IDs. This product has an IP 20 protection category and can be installed in any position. The device is equipped with two RJ-45 interfaces. It implements an EtherCAT device protocol and has a Baud rate of 100MBaud. The unit helps in fast Fieldbus boot up after a connection has been established. The coupler features a maximum of 4.2GB addressable IO points. The 5V E-bus has a current rating of 1,000mA when the product is used at a temperature of more than 55°C.
The coupler features an EMC emission adhering to EN 61000-6-4 specifications. The housing features a signal LED and three spring-loaded power contacts that have a voltage rating of 24VDC. Multiple devices can be mounted side by side using a double slot and key connection. The wiring connection is done using Cage Clamp spring-loaded technique. The solid or stranded wires have a size of 28-14AWG and a cross-section between 0.08mm2 and 2.5mm2. The EK1101-0080 coupler has a weight of 105g. It is UL Listed and CE Certified and has IECEx and ATEX markings.
