The CX9020-0111 is an embedded PC manufactured by Beckhoff. It is a DIN rail-mountable control system that combines modular I/O level and PC technology. It is suited for a wide array of applications thanks to the Industrial PC and PLC hardware. The modular design of the CX9020-0111 enables it to be configured to meet specifics of the application at hand. This is done through omitting or adding interfaces. Since the only added components are ones that the control system requires, installation cost and space are significantly reduced. The CX9020-0111 is ideal for applications that require computing capabilities and characteristics of an Industrial PC. The permissible operating temperature of -25 to 60 degrees allows application in demanding environments. This compact control system automatically detects the bus system (E-bus or K-bus) and switches in the corresponding system. Its CPU comprises an optional interface, four USB interfaces, one DVI-D interface, and two RJ45 interfaces. The operating system is a Windows Embedded Compact 7 while the runtime environment is TwinCAT 2 PLC. The TwinCAT environment enables it to perform PLC control projects with or without visualization.

The CX9020-0111 comes with 1 GHz ARM Cortex processor, a flash memory with two microSD slots, and a 1 GB DDR3 RAM main memory, and 128 KB NOVRAM persistent memory. The diagnostics LEDs include two bus status, one power, TC status, and two flash access LEDs. The PC features a power supply of 24 V DC (-15% /+20%), a current supply of 2A, and maximum power consumption of 5W. It weighs 590g and holds UL, CE, and IECEx approvals.
