The EEA-PAM-581-C-32 is a plug-in power amplifier card manufactured by Vickers for the EEA-PAM Power Amplifiers series. Installed in a 3U Eurocard rack, the board accepts analog or current commands from a machine controller and converts them into a regulated drive signal for hydraulic solenoids. By combining ramp generation, enable interlock, and alarm feedback on one module, it streamlines closed-loop pressure or flow regulation in industrial automation systems.
The module operates from a supply of 24 VDC and can draw up to 50 W under maximum load. Its output stage delivers up to 3.2 A of solenoid current so larger proportional valves can be driven directly. Voltage command lines present 47 kΩ of input impedance, while current command lines are terminated at 100 Ω to suit 4–20 mA sources. All power, control, and diagnostic signals are routed through a DIN 41612 F48 edge connector, enabling fast card replacement without disturbing the field wiring.
Four demand channels share matching ramp generators, and the drive enable path offers 22 kΩ of input resistance to interface with safety relays. System alarms are provided through an open-collector stage that carries a 50 Ω output impedance for clear fault signaling.
