Product Description:
The EEA-PAM-561-B-32 is a plug-in power amplifier card produced by Vickers for the EEA-PAM Power Amplifiers series. This board conditions low-level command signals and delivers controlled drive current to proportional hydraulic valves, allowing closed-loop regulation of flow or pressure in automated presses, molding machines, and test rigs. Installed in a rack beside the PLC, it interprets analog references, applies user-defined ramps, and feeds the resulting signal to the valve coil so that cylinders and motors follow programmed motion profiles with minimal hysteresis.
Its input stage accepts a reference of ±10 V 10 mA or a current command of ±20 mA; the current channel faces a 100 Ω impedance, while voltage mode presents 47 kΩ. Field wiring terminates on a DIN 41612 F48 (Male) edge connector that lets technicians swap the card without disturbing harnesses. For position feedback, the board supplies a stabilized +15 V feed to an external LVDT, and the displacement return can be checked through a 2.0 mm monitor socket. Ramp shaping is performed via a dedicated ±10 V port that draws 10 kΩ, enabling acceleration and deceleration tuning independent of the host controller.
The drive stage provides two control lines: channel B2 delivers -10 V (±1%) 5 mA, channel Z2 outputs +10 V (±1%) 5 mA, and ripple on both is limited to 20 mV pk-pk max, keeping valve dithering below audible levels. Overall depth is 128.4 mm; the 100 mm width and 175.24 mm height let the card fit standard 19-inch subracks without obstructing airflow. Together, its precision outputs, low ripple, and compact form factor help maintain accurate spool positioning even in tightly packed hydraulic manifolds.
