The EEA-PAM-513-A-32 is a plug-in power amplifier card engineered by Vickers for the EEA-PAM Power Amplifiers series. Inserted into a DIN back-plane, the board translates analog and digital commands from a motion controller into proportional coil current for hydraulic valve actuation. Its role in industrial automation is to furnish accurate pressure and flow control so presses, casting machines, and positioners can follow electronic set points.
It occupies a card height of 128.4 mm, depth 175.24 mm, and a profile width of 100 mm, allowing it to lock into the DIN 41612 F48 connector provided on the rack. Control electronics draw up to 50 mA from a dual rail of ±15 V while the power stage is supplied by a 24 VDC logic feed. Thermal loading is bounded by an input of 50 W, so enclosure airflow must remove that heat. The current command path presents a 100 Ω input impedance; the matching voltage path accepts references up to ±10 V derived from the host controller. A supply watchdog removes drive when the rack voltage falls to 18 VDC, preventing partial actuation of the proportional valve and ensuring a predictable hydraulic shut-down sequence.
