The EEA-PAM-525-A-14 power amplifier card is manufactured by Vickers. It has been designed for proportionate hydraulic valve control. Vickers has established a trusted reputation in the automation industry for understanding customer needs. The EEA-PAM-525-A-14 has been made with some improvements, which makes the power amplifier card a first-choice. Vickers has increased the range of supply voltage and also added safety protection (low supply voltage). In the EEA-PAM-525-A-14, ramping cannot be affected by the gain adjustment. The edges of the power amplifier card have also been added monitoring points.
Vickers power amplifier cards have also been integrated with dead-band compensation on the front panel. The monitoring points for the 2 spool position points, conditioned command signal, and ground command signal are all positioned near each other. This makes the power amplifier card easy and quick to access. The EEA-PAM-525-A-14 has a single green LED that illuminates, indicating that the power amplifier card is powered on. Every channel on the power amplifier card comes with a multi-color signal LED. When an input signal is available on the channel, it illuminates green.
The LED becomes yellow, which indicates that the channel is clipping. Vickers has also integrated a power switch on the front of every power amplifier card. Since it is recessed, it needs an operating tool to avoid any unintentional switch operation. The switch makes it possible to power down, remove or replace an individual power amplifier card without impacting any other amplifier card installed in one mainframe. Every Vickers power amplifier card offers +24VDC through current to limit resistors from operating the fans in the mainframe’s rear. The EEA-PAM-525-A-14 also comes with built-in voltage limiting for protecting the loudspeakers.
