Product Description:

The PX-MAF180M-25TB-A from the PREX Servo Motors line is a PREX motor designed specifically for machining centers requiring speed, power, and precision in both turning and milling operations. It has an X-axis traverse speed of 25 meters per minute (984 ipm) and Z-axis speed of 30 meters per minute (1,181 ipm) to provide quick axis positioning and less idle time.

These turning operations are powered by a strong 22 kW motor for 30 minutes at full rating, 22.8 kW for 10 minutes at peak rating, and continuous output down to 15 kW. This motor has a torque capacity of up to 427 N-m for 10 minutes and 281 N-m continuously, making it suitable to handle numerous materials and cutting conditions. It ramps up to spindle speed of 5,000 min⁻¹ within 3 seconds, making it perfect for high-speed machining operations where time is paramount. The milling spindle runs at 6,000 min⁻¹ using a motor with 7.1 kW output for 25 minutes and continuous 4.1 kW rating, with torque readings of 40.4 N-m (25 min) and 23.4 N-m (continuous), bringing in the added versatility to undertake complicated machining processes. 120 mm internal diameter of spindle bearing and thru-hole of 80 mm provides support for heavy setups and bar stock sizes. The indexing time of turret is quick at 0.1 seconds/index to help provide more efficient cycle times.

A large range of part sizes are provided by it through a machining diameter of up to 410 mm for the basic spindle and up to 340 mm using the M-turret. One of its main features is its gearless, beltless motor/spindle integration, which offers super rigidity and reduces vibration, resulting in stable cutting performance and high machining precision during long operation cycles.
