The PC834-105-N model reflects the modern motion control technology of Kollmorgen. The unit is a single-axis brushless servo drive module widely used to control and monitor the operations of the electrical AC servo motors. Only company-verified products and accessories are allowed to operate together with this brushless servo drive. The PC834 brushless servo drive operates at the input voltage of 3 × AC 240 – 320 V with 60 Hz of system frequency. The nominal current requirement of the drive is 7.1 A for the natural convection unit and 10.6 A for the forced cooling unit. The model is designed to operate at both natural and forced cooling modes, according to the operating requirements. The PC834 brushless servo drive supplies 3 – 6 kVA of power to the attached motor and it takes motor feedback from RS232/RS485 command interface port. The maximum power generated by the drive and motor system is 5.4 – 6.3 kW at 240 VAC. For high operational reliability, the single-axis servo drive should be installed in the switchgear cabinet of at least the IP54 protection category. 

The model PC834-105-N provides the maximum efficiency of 98% under ambient operating conditions. The permissible temperature range for PC834 is 0 to +40 degree Celsius and the unit undergoes the maximum power loss of 800 W. The motor with 1.25 mH of minimum inductance can be operated with this unit. A braking resistor can be installed with this unit to provide protection against overvoltage. Two status LEDs are placed in this unit for displaying the faults and operating parameters of the unit. During installation, the minimum unobstructed space of 100 mm should be provided at the top and bottom of the drive and 40 mm of space is required at the sides of the unit (with convection cooling).
