Product Description:

The MMC-A2 PLUS is a Motion control servo drive that is compatible with a variety of update rates and numerous servo axes. There is a 32-bit RISC processor and a numeric coprocessor in the controller to help with motion and I/O control tasks.

The MMC-A2 PLUS motion control servo drive has a memory capacity of 256K for applications, 128K for RAM, and 64K for users. The servo drive has the capacity to manage up to 18 servo axes within the range of 8 ms to 4 ms. The servo drive can accommodate 16 axes at 2 ms, 8 axes at 1 ms, 3 axes at 0.5 ms, and 1 axis at 0.25 ms. There are two analog outputs and one analog input on the drive. It is equipped with three encoder inputs that enable users to receive feedback for usage in motion. Four axes of DC can be generated for the motion interface by connecting two axes of DC. The six channels on the AUX I/O DC inputs are used for extra features. There are sixteen general DC inputs and sixteen general DC outputs on the unit for separate control tasks. The MMC-A2 drive comes with a 2 MB flash disk that can be used to store data that doesn't need to be charged.

The input voltage range for the drive is 20 to 30 VDC, and it uses 250 mA of power when I/O power is not included. The 3V BR2032 lithium coin cell battery that comes with it can be used for data backup. The MMC-A2 PLUS servo drive can work in temperatures between 5°C and 55°C and be stored in temperatures between -40°C and 85°C. The servo drive has a small footprint that helps industrial automation apps make the best use of panel space. At the system level, the drive meets the needs for accurate motion control and dependable I/O processing.
