The KSM 121 is an expansion module from Kollmorgen for programmable logic controllers. The module supports logic processing up to SIL 3. It houses several control inputs that can serve as substitutes for digital inputs. The unit can perform safety functions by monitoring the external contacts for the connected switch gears. The device also helps in monitoring the cross circuits by the pulse outputs of the basic module. It features a Class 4 architecture style.
