The B-204-C-23 motor from the GOLDLINE series comes with many features that assist in advance motion control. The motor has been designed for operation in areas with adverse external environments. The motor’s explosion-proof design makes the system a suitable candidate for operation in tough conditions. In addition, the motor has been designed in accordance with the IP 67 ingress protection standards that protect the motor against debris accumulation because of dust particles. The IP 67 standard motors are also protected against low-pressure water jets. Furthermore, the motor’s sealant rings allow the motor to be submerged in water depths of up to 1 meter. This model’s rotor moment of inertia stands at only 0.0001729 kgm². Such a low moment of inertia is considered a significant advantage for motors that are required to assist in rapid-paced acceleration and decelaration of industrial machinery.

The B-204-C-23 can be equipped with fail-safe brakes and front-mounted gearheads. The system uses a resolver for its closed-loop feedback mechanism. The closed-loop feedback enables accurate control over the motor’s position, speed, and torque. The corrected feedback system is automatically activated once the system detects a mismatch between the actual and programmed values of operational parameters. The resolver feedback is then used to correct the error in values. The B-204-C-23 has a high torque to volume ratio because of its compact size.
