The B-204-C-21 motor produced by Kollmorgen is used for executing the servomechanism in areas like textile, printing, packaging, and automotive industries. The B-204-C-21 has been specifically designed for hazardous environments. The motor’s design is explosion proof that allows it to operate in areas where most other motors cannot. With a moment of inertia as low as 0.0001729 kgm², this model is highly suitable for dynamic environments where rapid-paced stop-start operations are required. The motor’s insulation material can sustain temperatures up to 180 ᵒC because the insulation material belongs to the class H. For advanced safety options, the motor can be equipped with a fail-safe brake. The B-204-C-21 has a UL recognized design and it comes with a thermostat onboard. The thermostat protects against overtemperature failure by constantly monitoring the motor winding temperature.
