Kollmorgen Company is a producer of state-of-the-art motion control technologies such as motors. The B-202-C-31 is a Goldline motor that is a staple in most industries thanks to its high performance,  continuous torque, and acceleration capabilities. It features permanent magnets with rare earth neodymium-iron-boron materials that significantly bolster its torque. When combined with the SERVOSTAR digital amplifier, the servo system becomes easy to set up while improving the performance of the motor. This enables it to offer numerous solutions for servomotor applications. The permanent magnet design not only bolsters performance but also eliminates problems with magnets placed directly on the airgap.

As a low inertia motor, the B-202-C-31 provides high performance for applications that require rapid acceleration and deceleration. It does not require brushes because the servo amplifier performs the electrical commutation. Some of its notable features include class H insulation, rear shaft extension, UL recognized, and an integrated thermostat. Options are NEMA mountings, mating connectors, gearheads, and others. The B-202-C-31 weighs approximately 4.1kg, has static friction of 0.08N-M, a thermal time constant of 18min, and four poles. It should be combined with the SR06 servo amplifier which features 110-360 VDC bus voltage input, 6RMS/phase output current, and 2.2kW output power.

The digital amplifier comes in a compact design that enables quick and simple installation and setup of the servo system to the motor. The three control algorithms (Pole Placement, PDFF, and PI) allow high performance to be achieved easily. It uses MOTIONLINK Windows-based software for seamless installation. This software provides a step by step procedure to accurately set up the system both for a professional and novice operator. The B-202-C-31 motor comes with Bayonet connectors with mating plugs and a metric mount with IP 65 sealing.
