The B-202-C-23 is a motor manufactured by Kollmorgen under the Goldline series. It provides a wide array of solutions for servo motor applications across the factory floor. The interior permanent magnets enable it to achieve much-needed torque while eliminating magnet issues. Thanks to these magnets with rare earth neodymium-iron-boron materials, this low inertia motor is an industry standard for high-performance applications. The advantage of using the B-202-C-23 motor is that it comes with options such as NEMA or metric mounts, gearmotors, and electromechanical fail-safe brake, among others.

This lightweight and brushless motor comes with features such as a high torque/volume ratio, UL recognized, a maximum speed of 7500rpm, and rugged resolver feedback. It has 2.0HP horsepower, 1.5kW kilowatts, and a 6200rpm speed at rated power. Its peak line current is capped at 16.6 Amps RMS while the peak torque is capped at 5.65 lb-ft. The B-202-C-23 has a 20mm frame size, 2 stack length, C winding type, and Bayonet connectors with less mating plugs. For optimum fine-tuning of the motor, it comes with MOTIONLINK software that allows easy setup and monitoring of the servo system.

This Kollmorgen motor is used together with SERVOSTAR amplifiers. This enables easy set up while bolstering its performance. The amplifier comes with three algorithms namely PI, PDFF, and Pole Placement that enable high performance to be achieved quickly. It presents numerous advantages such as electrical commutation that provides smooth, low-speed control and high-speed performance. Others include fully digital control loops, self-tuning to the load, and precision torque control, among others. For peace of mind, it comes with a one year warranty.
