The introduction of Kollmorgen motors on the industrial floor has brought tremendous improvements on how applications are run and controlled. The Kollmorgen Goldline series of motors is designed for use with servo applications and will deliver high torque and a high-power density. To prepare Goldline series motors for the ever-changing industrial applications, these family of motors features multiple connector options, optional electromechanical failsafe brakes, ingress protection rating of either IP 65 or IP 67, and supports metric and NEMA mountings. When looking for motors to use in an explosive environment the Goldline family has motors specially meant for explosive and harsh industrial environments.

The B-102-A-24 is a brushless servo motor designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen. The motor belongs in the Goldline series allowing it to deliver a high performance when interfaced with the Kollmorgen Servostar digital amplifier. The B-102-A-24 has a continuous torque rating of 0.84 N-m, a peak torque rating of 1.91 N-m, and a continuous power rating of 0.54 Kilowatts. For applications requiring a maximum speed of 7500 revolutions per minute, the B-102-A-24 is an ideal choice. The motor belongs to the B-series (low inertia) in the wider Goldline family.

Low inertia motors in this series deliver optimum performance in applications that have rapid deceleration and acceleration. By employing permanent magnets, the B-102-A-24 is free from problems that hinder reliability in motors that have magnets placed directly on the airgap. This magnetic design makes Kollmorgen Goldline motors an industry standard when it comes to performance in point-to-point, high response motion applications. The B-102-A-24 supports options such as mating connectors, front mounted gearheads, and a fail-safe brake.
