The 7105-CAN model is a servo-amplifier designed and developed by Kollmorgen to control the operations of the synchronous servo motor from the 6SM series. The servo amplifier comes with both speed control and torque control mode for a brushless servo motor. The model belongs to the digifas 7100 series and is designed to take electrical power from the 3-phase AV 80 – 400 V power source with ±10% tolerance. The input voltage frequency of the amplifier should be 50 – 60 Hz. The rated connected load for S1 operation is 3 kVA. The model delivers the rated output current of 5 A_rms and the continuous power of the ballast circuit is 200 W (internal). The servo amplifier should only be mounted in the control cabinet of specified ingress protection and it must be operated under the ambient conditions prescribed in the digifas documentation. The model comes with a CAN-BUS connection to develop efficient communication with the motor and other I/O modules. To display the operating parameters of the amplifier an LCD display is placed at the front of the amplifier.

The model 7105-CAN comes with a 14-bit resolver to detect the accurate position of the resolver. Two LEDs are also placed in this model to show the operating state and the errors of the servo amplifier. The amplifier operates ideally under the permissible environmental temperature range of 0 to +45 degree Celsius and the protection category of the module is IP20.
